The international art scene thrives on the discovery and rediscovery of qualitative art and an animated discourse. The artworks presented at Positions Berlin are focused on relevance and topicality, new as well as established contemporary works stand next to works of classical modernism. Instead of the usual categorizations, new perspectives are to be opened up here.

Gallery Melbye-Konan presented three artists from Côte d'Ivoire at POSITIONS Berlin, who are connected by the theme of masks. Thanks to a great response, more than half of the works were already sold by the first day. Especially the works of the talented artist Yannick Ackah. The paintings, which remind one of Picasso and Basquiat, fascinated the visitors and were already sold out after the first day of the fair. The price of his works exhibited at the fair ranged between €10,000 and €18,000.
