The Rotherbaum neighbourhood has always been known as an art and antiques district. Works by renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly and Joseph Beuys have been exhibited in the architecturally beautiful villas on the Alster. Many renowned art galleries have a long tradition in this neighbourhood. Local galleries, art dealers, art agencies and auction houses now want to continue this tradition and are inviting visitors to the first joint ‘Kunst am Rothenbaum’ weekend on 6 and 7 October. Visitors can experience the art venues on a tour and discover very different artists and their works. These include Galerie Melbye Konan and Galerie Roschlaub, Sotheby's, Le Claire Kunst, Kunsthandel Dr Moeller & Cie. and Galerie Mikado Asiatica. vfe
