From October 11 to 13, 2024, 17 renowned galleries, auction houses, and museums invite you to the second Hamburg gallery tour in the Rotherbaum district. Visitors will be able to view extraordinary works in the fields of painting, photography, sculpture, and design.
In a short time, the gallery tour at Rothenbaum has established itself as a popular event that promotes the local art scene and provides a platform for international artists.
The tour begins at Tesdorpfstraße 21 (on Mittelweg) at JB FineArts, where visitors can discover impressive photographs by Philipp Keel, expressive paintings by Stefan Pehl, and large-format ink drawings by Frankie Gao. Just a few steps away, Galerie Melbye-Konan opens its doors to the duo exhibition "Inside - Outside," featuring works by Karolin Schwab and Ngoye. A few houses further down, Galerie HIDDE VAN SEGGELEN presents works by renowned artist Ansuya Blom in the solo exhibition "Fragments." The Middleway Gallery showcases a carefully curated collection of modern carpets, handcrafted ceramic objects, and contemporary art. The Rotherbaum auction house features an exquisite selection of regional and international 21st-century art, design objects, crafts, porcelain, watches, jewelry, and Asian art. At ERIC JACOBSON DESIGN, both design and artworks are on offer.
Galerie Roschlaub presents photographic art, and Sotheby’s gives a preview of the upcoming November auction "Modern and Contemporary Art" from Cologne. Galerie Gerdsen exhibits works by Eduard Bargheer and Kai Quedens. At Magdalenenstraße 50, LE CLAIRE KUNST is participating, this year with guest THOLE ROTERMUND KUNSTHANDEL. Additionally, the Munich auction house KARL & FABER offers a preview of the upcoming autumn season. Continuing on, Galerie Watson presents the first solo exhibition "More Moiré" by Korean artist Jeongmoon Choi in Hamburg. And at Mittelweg 111, Galerie Mikado Asiatica presents an exquisite selection of Asian art treasures across four floors. At ARTelier 45, new works by artists Gabriele Völkers and Barbara Winkler-Wolf can be seen, and the Marcard ProArte art agency displays architectural photography. The Museum am Rothenbaum – Cultures and Arts of the World – is also a destination on the tour, as is Tibetan Lama Art – Hamburg, with exclusive contemporary artifacts of Tibetan Buddhism.
